It’s fairly common for some of the earliest and most frustrating signs of aging to begin presenting themselves on the face, specifically in the forehead and brow region. Developing fine lines, wrinkles, and bands on the forehead can leave you looking grumpy and tired, when you likely feel exactly the opposite. Garrett Wirth, MD, MS, FACS performs brow lift surgery in Newport Beach, refreshing and rejuvenating your appearance so you can look as good as you feel!
What Happens After My Brow Lift?
When you wake up from surgery you may experience some temporary discomfort or numbness, which can be managed with pain medication. Bruising and swelling will also be present and may conceal some of the immediate results of surgery. Garrett Wirth, MD, MS, FACS will provide you with specific post-operative instructions such as keeping your head elevated for several days to minimize swelling.
Your sutures will be removed about a week after your surgery, and you should be able to resume most normal activities, including work, at that time. Rigorous activities such as exercise should be avoided for several weeks, however, to avoid increased blood pressure. Your final results will be permanent, and should be completely visible within a few months of your surgery.
