Cost of Breast Implants

The cost of breast implants in Newport Beach is well worth the price when you consider the benefits of this procedure. Worry no more about having small or asymmetrical breasts you’re unsatisfied with. Fit well and attractively into clothing and swimsuits. And say goodbye to pushup bras!

Breast augmentation costs depend on the type of implants you choose, the procedure complexity, and which type of procedure you need (for example, breast revision surgery is a different cost than a typical breast augmentation).

Customizing your breast augmentation

Your breast augmentation in Newport Beach will be customized to suit your exact needs and aesthetic goals for your breasts. There are a number of ways breast augmentation can be customized, from the type, size and shape of your implants to the profile and ultimate appearance and feel of your new breasts.

Dr. Wirth will discuss each choice with you in detail to help you make an informed decision about your new breasts. You will be able to test different sizes and shapes of implants to experience how they look and how they might feel on your body.

What are the types of breast implants I can get?

Silicone implants

Silicone implants are the most popular choice for breast augmentation. They feel very natural and retain shape and bounce much like natural breasts. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and textures. Gummy bear implants are one popular type of silicone breasts.

Gummy Bear Implants

Gummy Bear implants are a cohesive gel formed in a natural teardrop shape. They closely mimic the look, form and feel of natural breasts, and can provide a larger cup size while retaining natural-looking breast contours. Gummy Bear implants have a reduced risk of rippling, folding or rupture when compared with other types of implants.

Saline implants

Saline implants are a silicone shell that is filled with sterile saltwater once they are placed in the breasts. The shell is inserted using a smaller incision in the armpit or belly button. Dr. Wirth will fill them carefully and precisely to achieve symmetrically round, beautiful breasts. Saline-filled implants move and feel less naturally than silicone implants. However, they are considered a safer choice, as in the rare case of rupture, the saline is harmless and the rupture can be seen and addressed quickly.

What are my Breast implant placement options?

Dr. Wirth will create a pocket within the breast where the implant can be placed. From there, the implant is inserted under the soft tissue of your chest, above the muscle, or under both the chest muscle and glands. Dr. Wirth will make this decision with you ahead of time, based on your body structure and natural proportions.

Over the muscle placement

Implant placement over the muscle can mean a slightly shorter recovery. For this placement, the chest muscle is not impacted or manipulated during surgery.

Under the muscle placement

Implant placement under the muscle is an ideal option for women with a smaller amount of breast tissue. Chest muscle over the implant provides coverage and support and helps to achieve a more natural-looking effect.

What are my implant Incision options?

The size and type of implants, your natural physique and other factors will be considered in choosing where the incision placement will be. Dr. Wirth is careful and precise with his incisions to ensure scarring is as minimal as possible.

Incisions are usually made in the following areas:

  • Under the natural crease of the breasts
  • Around the areola
  • In the natural folds of the armpits or the belly button

What are my breast implant Profile options?

The profile of the implant refers to how far the implant will project outward from the chest. Low-profile implants are wider and flatter, and high-profile implants narrower and project further. Implants come in the following profiles:

Allergan:

  • FULL
  • HIGH
  • EXTRA FULL
  • MODERATE
  • SMOOTH ROUND SALINE

Sientra:

  • LOW PROJECTION
  • MODERATE
  • MODERATE PLUS
  • HIGH
  • EXTRA HIGH

Mentor:

  • MODERATE PLUS BOOST
  • MODERATE HIGH BOOST
  • HIGH BOOST
  • MODERATE PLUS EXTRA
  • MODERATE HIGH EXTRA
  • HIGH EXTRA
  • MODERATE PLUS
  • ROUND HIGH
  • ULTRA-HIGH

Choosing a Breast Implant Size

Size choice is a personal decision that depends on your vision for your breasts. However, your natural frame and physique should also factor into this decision. Dr. Wirth will take measurements and help recommend the best size to suit your proportions to create either a natural enhancement or a more dramatic look.

WHAT IS THE BREAST AUGMENTATION PROCEDURE AND SURGERY LIKE?

Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure Dr. Wirth performs to enhance the breasts, creating a fuller, larger size, attractive shape and symmetry and proportionate, appealing feminine silhouette. Breast augmentation can be done for women who have always had small breasts, or for those who have lost breast volume due to age, pregnancy, significant weight loss, or other factors.

Your breast augmentation will begin with general anesthesia. Dr. Wirth will then make the necessary incisions, strategically and precisely, to reduce the visibility of post-operative scars.

Your chosen implants will be placed into a pocket created either on top of or partially beneath the pectoral muscles. After the implants are surgically placed, the incisions are carefully sutured closed.

What is breast augmentation recovery like?

Upon successful completion of your breast augmentation in Newport Beach with Dr. Wirth, and as the anesthesia begins to wane, you will likely experience light to moderate drowsiness and soreness in the treatment area. You’ll want to have a friend or family member there to drive you home.

Days after the surgery

In the days following the procedure, postoperative pain and soreness are easily managed with prescribed pain medication. It’s crucial to avoid strenuous or rapid motions, bending, leaning over, or any form of exercise. Proper rest during this phase helps facilitate faster healing and minimizes complications like swelling or bruising.

Returning to work

Most patients are able to return to work within seven to ten days, although many find this possible in as little as two to three days with Dr. Wirth’s customized recovery plan and advanced surgical techniques. Light desk work or other non-strenuous activities are usually fine during this period, but you should prioritize comfort and avoid pushing yourself too quickly.

Resuming exercise

For those eager to return to physical activity, patience is key. Avoid lifting anything over five pounds, refrain from lifting your arms above your shoulders, and steer clear of all vigorous exercise or physical activities until you’re cleared by Dr. Wirth. Overexertion too soon can interfere with the healing process and jeopardize results. Most patients can gradually resume their normal exercise routine within four to six weeks as they fully heal.
