Out of Town Patients

Options for Out of Town Patients

Wirth Plastic Surgery is located minutes away from John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana and an hour from LAX in Los Angeles. Patients from out of town generally stay for up to two full weeks, scheduling their pre-operative, surgery, and post-operative appointments during this time. If a patient requires an overnight stay, we'll arrange for a stay in one of our approved recovery facilities, where a nurse and health care provider will be on call. Should the patient decide to stay longer than one night, we can also offer an extended stay condo, complete with caregiver assistance if necessary.

If the patient will not need an overnight stay, there are several beautiful hotels minutes from the office – and the beach! Garrett Wirth, MD, MS, FACS prefers to follow up with all patients the day after their surgery, as well as into the second week of their stay. If possible, a third and final post-operative appointment will take place on week three. This appointment can be done over the phone if an extended stay is not possible, however. There are two main options available to our out of town guests:

Option 1: You may fly in for an in-person consultation and schedule your procedure, then return home. You will then return for the scheduled procedure and plan to stay for 7-10 days. Or,

Option 2: Fly out for the full two weeks (or more) and complete your consultation, pre-operative appointments, surgery, and post-operative appointments all during that time.
